Volunteer Work

Volunteering has always been a meaningful part of both my personal and professional life. Over the years, I’ve contributed my time and skills to youth organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs, healthcare institutions such as Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and disaster recovery efforts following major hurricanes and tornadoes. While not every experience resulted in a tangible deliverable, each one shaped my perspective and strengthened my commitment to service. This page highlights a few of the projects where I was able to apply my instructional design skills to support causes I care deeply about.

Arkansas League of Women Voters

During the pandemic, when most activities were off the table, I started looking for ways to stay involved and give back. That’s when I connected with the Arkansas chapter of the League of Women Voters in my county. For a few months, I volunteered by writing articles and creating Instagram posts to help amplify their message and engage the community. It was a fun side project that let me flex my writing and design muscles. Read my one and only edition of the organization's newsletter here.

Rock Town Roller Derby

Rock Town Roller Derby is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Little Rock, Arkansas. I spent three incredible years with Rock Town skating, volunteering, and building relationships. During that time, I served as the marketing committee head for one season, where I took the lead on managing and updating the league’s Squarespace website. In 2024, I implemented several improvements to enhance usability and better reflect the league’s energy and mission. Check out Rock Town HERE.
